Join The Asian Conservative via Facebook

Hi all, I just added a Facebook login feature to Asian Conservative. Now you can leave comments and it will have your Facebook profile attached to it and comments will (optionally) show up on your Facebook feed! Yippee.

Don’t worry about your personal information. Since you come in through Facebook, we only see anonymized/encrypted user information. We can’t see anything beyond your name and Facebook profile.

If you are interested in joining The Asian Conservative, sign in through the Facebook button and send us a note. If you don’t want to use Facebook, we can create an account for you. In either case send us a note.

I don’t know what else the Facebook thing does. If you notice anything cool let us know.

    You have the option of showing the anonymized Facebook name (fbXXXXX) or your actual name from your Facebook profile.

    To change your options, login to the Asian Conservative and then go somewhere to comment on a page.

    Click on your own name and you can change your profile options to make it as anonymous or real as you like.

    If you change the name display, the comments still link to your Facebook profile page which will usually show your real name and, depending on your privacy settings, some information about you.

    This is a great site; it’s good to know there are others out there like me because the vast majority of my asian peers tend to be hard-line left-wingers, it’s somewhat bizarre

    Hi Richard,

    We appreciate the feedback and are ecstatic about the idea of collecting supporters though facebook. We’re actually looking into setting one up ourselves with the contributors from our blog. I’d love to know more about what you’re trying to do so that perhaps we could collaborate.
